Inaugural Great Lakes Nationals (2 Viewers)

Gates not opening until 11:00 am now. Looking at the forecast, we will be hard pressed to get this done today.

Well, it’s now looking like we may get a break in the rain about 2:00 pm. Dewpoint and temp will still be about the same as each other though. Maybe we can get this done today.

Thanks Mike! You can keep the hundo but don’t short me to 333! That was our first run over 330 mph. We had a cannon malfunction in Q4.
ha! the timing system there reports to 4 digits past decimal. i think yours was

The last time I checked, they can only bring one to the starting line.
I wasn't aware; thank you.

Last time I checked the larger teams carry 10 or more spares for all the reasons you already know. Terry Haddock doesn't have that advantage. Not that there's anything wrong with having a trailer full of parts; that goes hand in hand with teams that have access to multimillion-dollar sponsorship. Still, I find it a bit sad when Haddock has to work hard just to come up with one competitive blower when Team Force can put a new one on all of their cars after every pass at every race if they so choose.

You work with a small team and do a hell of a good job based on limited exposure and funding. You know how it goes.

I understand your feels Carl, but I'm not sure if "sad" is the word. Some may say Terry is blessed to do what he does and has been doing for decades. Racing of any kind is crazy expensive, and the constant hunt for funding is every bit as competitive as the racing itself.

He ran several 3s a few years ago. I want to say Johnny West was helping him at the time.
Yes - Gainesville 2024 was his first 3-second pass.

Yeah, I know, which is why I said "a bit sad". Indeed, Terry knew what he was getting into and continues to stay in. It's like comparing the 9 to 5 laborer who's struggled all his or her life just to make ends meet to somebody like Barron Trump who just earned $150 million in one year using Daddy's money to invest in the cryptocurrency market. Can't really fault either one but it's still a bit sad. At least to me.
