That's an interesting point, about MBE/WBE contract preference. But do you mean GSA? I've not heard of JSA.I would imagine a lot of Daranas contracts were winning bids due to the fact it’s labeled a Native American owned company. Just a theory. If you have ever dealt with contract bidding especially JSA stuff, that’s the kind of thing that gets you to the top of the sheet real quick. Not saying his company doesn’t do a great job at what they do, they must, but it’s something they like to make very clear, and I would imagine that has helped them along the way score some big contracts.
Yep lol that’s what happens when your typing walking up steps and not proof readingThat's an interesting point, about MBE/WBE contract preference. But do you mean GSA? I've not heard of JSA.
I am. I ran the finals last year and the 3 national events this year including winning the season opener the first of the year in Alky funny car. I did NOT run the triple crown race. I got paid for ALL the races I ran within 3 weeks of each event. I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about how the events were run, the IHRA crew and staff, track prep or anything! I hate the way the season abruptly ended because I was in 4th place and in striking distance of 2nd. Nobody was gonna catch Phil Esz in points and I hate he won't get a world championship trophy. I never had issues with DC except now that nobody has gotten paid. IF DC would have come out and explained what happened and any plans I might have a better outlook but since he is apparently in hiding, it doesn't leave us much to say. NOW for all those that were so quick to run to the internet with their " I TOLD YOU SO" let me tell you where to put those opinions! IF you didn't race there you can only judge from what you read. Every racer I know that ran there up to the triple crown loved it. SO MANY of us made our plans , our crews dedicated their time, and we all spent lots of money chasing a dream for a championship. NONE of you would know the feeling that teams experienced when this fell apart. for me and my team , We were loving life racing like never before. We were in a points battle for the alky fc championship. I had even promised my wife the most beautiful dress for the banquet at the end of the year and now all that is over. so telling us all " we told you so" would get your a$$ beat in person when you never had a horse in the race! NOT TO MENTION how many employees of IHRA that maybe left a job in favor of employment with IHRA. these guys and gals were great at the track! now some could still be unemployed and struggling to pay bills , and turn on the internet to see so many saying " I TOLD YOU SO"!!! so how about you all quit speculating after 20 some pages and find something else to talk about. and those that NEED to know, the money came from a Darryl Cuttel motorsports account. but as I said above, WHAT DOES IT MATTER AT THIS POINT if you weren't there and aren't owed money! Is anyone on this thread a racer, nitro or not, that has run the 'new' IHRA and won monies...or has anyone here actually thought to reach out to a racer that they know that has previously collected any monies from the 'new' IHRA and ask them whose name was on the remitting end of that EFT ? It would clear up a lot of conjecture here.

Don’t be angry towards us, be angry towards Darryl. I’m sorry you didn’t see the writing on the wall where everyone else did. As a fan it was great to watch on the livestream. More racing is a great thing. What about the fans that now have racetracks with their future in limbo? Piedmont is currently leveled. Galot and Columbus are in serious trouble. Throwing stupid money at property, employees, and racers was not going to work out. Nobody is coming to buy the series and the equipment. Nobody in the world is willing to pay $500 million for the IHRA. He won’t even get $10 million. Feel fortunate you didn’t run the triple crown.I am. I was a paying customer to Maple Grove for 35 plus years, NO Nitro in 2026 cause someone made promises they couldn't keep. (Yes I know it rained in May, but sounds like most didn't get paid for Columbus Triple Crown, so doubt anyone were gonna be paid for May). Not a good look in my opinion. DC doesn't owe the spectator anything, but he does need to come forward to the teams, employees and explain the situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts a dam data center up in Maple Grove once this mess is over.Don’t be angry towards us, be angry towards Darryl. Well fortunately it doesn’t sound like he will own the Maple Grove track for long. You might never get your national event back though. I would like to think that NHRA would come back to the Grove if the opportunity is there but they could be holding a grudge towards the Koretsky family. They got a massive offer they couldn’t refuse and I get that.I was a paying customer to Maple Grove for 35 plus years, NO Nitro in 2026 cause someone made promises they couldn't keep. Everyone loved it until they didn't get paid. Views change quickly when money is owed.Well said Bruce. If this people actually went to a race and talked to drivers and crews, they would have a different perspective, everyone loved it
Agree, Maple Grove is a place they need to be if the opportunity presents itself.Thisno way they leave that market open if the chance to go back is there
I saw on the ol Facebook that Darryl’s boat isn’t at the Lake of The Ozarks event
Yes, I agree, would be crazy to omit that much of a market area within, say, a 200 mile radius.Agree, Maple Grove is a place they need to be if the opportunity presents itself.
