Well about everything I have been thinking seems to be covered. I will just say unfortunately there is not enough youth interested in cars to support drag racing, fact. Yes some are but they are few and far between. Back in the day we would have a hundred cars at every Burger King on Long Island, cruise from one to another. K mart parking lot Etc. Guys lived to get their license and a car, now kids do not even want a license.
Nitro will be going the way of Ringling Brothers circus down the road as we old people die off. And IMO it will be because of a lack of car count as opposed to spectators. We have already lost most real sponsors, look at all the self funded teams that have come and gone, now B2B is big. What is going to happen when a few owners die off ?? that is going to be multi car hits.
And before everyone jumps in and tells me how good they are doing, it wasn't long ago that there was actually bumping in qualifying. 20+ cars in TF & FC and even more in PS, remember that ?? cheering to get your guy in so he could race. A group cheering for Budweiser and another for Miller the great beer wars. MOPAR, Ford, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Pontiac....friendly rivalries talking crap in the stands.
