The man deserves to enjoy life, that's for certain, although I must say that's what I thought he was doing. But like you said, what we see and how it is may be different things entirely.

I have always read that Robert is from Alturas, CA. A very remote area up there. But nice scenery though.

It’s totally fine that Hight is no longer racing. Just strange they never released a little press release saying Hight is no longer a driver. And also That he likely isn’t president of JFR. Very strange.

They didn’t even have to say why he left, just officially state the facts. He’s no longer a JFR driver. Why is their business. Of course I would love to know why; but they don’t have to tell us.

I don't know if his new gig is full time so he could still be with JFR. He may not want to fully retire in case they need him to fill in at some time. I'm sure questions will be asked in Phoenix.

Just spitballing here..... what if Hight CAN'T drive a FC anymore due to a health issue? Detaching retinas, heart issue that won't pass medical, dialysis etc....
The gun thing sounds like the retirement was foist upon him when the owner retired and offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this established business.
And even if it's less exciting than Nitro racing, if faced with a medical issue it makes financial sense to change careers while you can.

I don't know how Dixon fit into the picture but the collapse of Al-Anabi racing is common knowledge. Let's just say that its owner, Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, drifted out of the groove and smacked the wall.

With Robert taking over the skeet shooting business full time I can't see JFR keeping him on.

Now Robert has moved on and we will more than likely never know what really happened. He contributed greatly to the NHRA and is going to write his next chapter. Drag Racing at that level is a tough life. His wife is also a trap shooter only makes sense for him to go back to that.

Prob right,something happened internal at jfr, if not health related shame on jfr for throwing that out there,health is nothing to joke about. Its like saying you have cancer but you really dont...
