I can't remember the exact year but the first time I ever saw Del was at the Columbus Ohio event (then known as the Spring Nationals). He was riding around the pits on his bike.

He was so young that I immediately liked him for his go-for-it attitude. I have been a fan of his ever since. It has been thrill to me to see him reach the level of success in Top Fuel so quickly.
