How does the top fuel clutch system work

Throw in power tuning, timing, fuel, wing angles and all the other ****..

and thats why they get paid the big bucks

the wing is easy . . . hot, poor air and you slide it up. Cold, dense air and slide it down somewhat.

Trading downforce for resistance.

I haven't the slightest clue on the rail cars, the funny car has maybe 5-6 inches to play with (up or down) across the whole tail.

The basic design was used in a farm tractor in the 1930s,
you could say that it's still pulling a big load today.....

Not sure what this has to do with the clutch, but Section 16.7 states -
"All Top Fuel rear wing main elements must be positioned with a zero to positive 2 degree angle relative to the racing surface."
