Home made root beer

I'm going to attempt my hand at homemade root beer. Anybody have any tips? I'm using Champagne yeast, I've heard pros & cons to using it.Any root beer brewers out here? Mike

Way too simple! Some use the yeast and some use dry ice? Either makes great stuff if you mix your ingredients correctly. Sounds like a party to me?

The real die hard root beerers will wash up a couple dozen bottles and bottle their own brew. That's beyond my energy level.

If it's anything like brewing your own beer, one of the most important things I can suggest is the containers (assuming you're using bottles) need to be sanitized very well before putting the root beer in there.

I love Root Beer but I have never tried brewing it on my own but I'd be interested in hearing how you did it and how it turns out.
