High tech Camera? (1 Viewer)

On Friday I noticed that there were a ton of photographers gathering around some high tech camera around the 100' area. I snapped a few pics, and I wonder if any Maters know what this is.

May be its a HDTV Cam? You know may be ESPN2 is trying it out at NHRA as the races are always after golf and tennis and poker and spelling bee's, etc...etc and to late at night. They have time to patch things up and use a old camera!
