Just thought I'd post this in case anyone high enough reads.

I'd love to see a pair of nastalgia floppers at Indy. The cackelfest and fuel altereds have been great in the past. I think it be awesome to see some old school funny cars make a couple of passes.

My second choice would be a pair of front engines dragsters.

I do know that Nanook will make it's return to Indy, not sure who they are running. Have No idea if they have a Cacklefest scheduled.

PJ, what you are likely to see this year are some Willys gassers cackling or making a pass. Remember who told ya!

That's exactly what's happening, Bob.

From Agent 1320 7/28/06:

NHRA TO SALUTE GASSERS

Rocky Pirrone’s Boss Hydro 1933 Willys AA/GS car has been selected by the NHRA as one of the participants in its “Salute to the Gassers.” The cars will be on display and take part in the opening ceremony of the U.S. Nationals this coming Labor Day weekend. The recreated Boss Hydro was built as a tribute to Rocky’s father, Joe Pirrone Jr. He raced at Indy in 1967, so it will be extra special to return to Indy almost 30 years later.

Gasser wars, those were the days.:D Seems like almost 40 years.
