Was doing a little research and came across this crash pic of Danny Ongais from 1981 at Indy.

Um... is that his arms and legs hanging out? Gross... that's why I am not a fan of those cars.

wow if you look closely you can see his while body and his head is by that tyre.

If I remember correctly, it happened in turn three. After he hit the wall his feet were actually bouncing on the track surface. Seemed a miracle that he survived. Stan Fox's crash in turn one in 1995 was just as scary looking.

I was trying to forget that ever happened, first time in years I've seen that Pic, and I believe there were more shots, even worst... Danny O was one of my heros growing up... remember the 223 he ran in M/T's car at Bristol in '69, with the wings on the car and a rolling start, but hey, it was an AHRA race...

Yeah, Danny "Ongas" is who I was doing research on. I was trying to find an e-mail address on him or where he lives. I want to hear his take on his prediction in that video in which he said we'd see a five second run at over 300 MPH someday. He might not even know that video is out there. I bet he'd enjoy just knowing that people are still interested/think about him.

In that video (in the nostalgia section), he said people in the media made fun of him when he predicted a 150 MPH run.
