Wow! He was young! Although I never saw "Brokeback Mountain" (and I never will), I enjoyed his work in "A Knight's Tale" and "The Patriot".

Your right, I shouldn't make conclusions........but it seems like it is always the same story with the younger actors/musicians.

They have finished filming.

From what I've seen/read he completely steals the movie, which is no small feat with Bale as Batman.

The latest word is that it was accidental. He had pneumonia and trouble sleeping. Apparently it wasn't a suicide, but related to the illness.

Makes it even more tragic.

It is truly sad when someone take his or her own life. He was a good actor and a cute one too. He had a 2 year old little girl. May God be with her and his family.

I`m looking forward to him in the new Batman movie. The Today show this morning said Ledger had nightmares about his character during filming. He looks pretty freaky as the Joker, nothing at all like the Nicholson character. Sad to hear of his passing, I thought he was great in The Patriot.

It is such a shame. He was a wonderful actor. I know a lot of you may not have seen it, but Brokeback Mountain was an incredible movie as well. I am looking forward to seeing the new Batman movie this summer. He will be greatly missed.
