Having a shop at the race track has it's perks

All week up here at the track ( Willow Springs) Chrysler has been having SRT8 press days. They have 12 of the new challengers as well as Chargers, 300s and even the Jeep with the big hemi.

All these magazine guys are up here driving them. Well I guess Ford heard about it and sent one of it's heavy hitters out to check it out.

Two of them came over to my shop this afternoon. Needless to say they emptied the place.

I guess so if you think having your employees standing around BS'ing instead of working is a perk. I'm sure the employees didn't mind one bit.

What did you think of the challenger Jay ?

Very nice. Besides that orange one they also had black and silver. I liked the silver best. They all have the carbon fiber insert on the hood, and it looks better on the silver.

On Fridays we give them an extra 1/2 hour lunch so they can go up to the track and watch what ever is running.

That's pretty cool. It doesn't cost a lot, but it probably builds some employee loyalty in return.

These Challengers were very quiet. Everyone comented on that. My wifes Daytona is considerably louder.

thats kinda what i was worried about was the way they would sound i wasnt sure if they spent all there time on the looks and no time on anything else
