Jackee:
I passed it on to a couple of other Forms and got this type of responce.

Thanks

That is one of the best post on the forum I have read in ages.....Thanks a million for reminding me of all those great times. I passed it on and thanks again.Bill

Great memories, I guess by acknowledging this,we are dating ourselves! lol.

Probably is dating ourselves, Harry, but know what? I may not aways 'appreciate' my age, but I sure am glad that I grew up when I did, and have all of these memories. It was the last age of innocence in this country, in my book.

Life was simple, and it will never be so again. Glad your friends enjoyed the post.

Jackee...life was simple back then?
All the old-timers I talk to say life is much better today then 'back then'...
They struggled w/ finances, food, wars and affordable shelter.
Obvious life was better for some of you 'back then' as maybe you are not being very productive today in regards to finances, friends, and vacations, etc...
I had a blast growing up in the 70's and 80's but todays opportunities are far above those yesterday years....

l emailed it to my American friends and this is one reply l have:

Brings another chuckle, everytime this comes around...My youngest
years were during WW2, in the outskirts of Des Moines, Iowa, long
before 55 Chevy's, and any kind of TV.
