GT Tonglet joins brother LE on Nitro Fish Pro Stock Motorcycle team (1 Viewer)

Defending NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle champion LE Tonglet is getting a teammate for this weekend’s Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Commerce, Ga.

Nitro Fish Racing owner Kenny Koretsky said Tuesday that GT Tonglet, LE’s older brother, will race a limited schedule for the team. “We are pleased to welcome GT on board,” said Koretsky. “GT and his dad (Gary) have worked hard building a new motorcycle and we are looking forward to seeing it at Atlanta Dragway.”

“I’m happy to be able to go racing again,” said GT Tonglet. “I haven’t raced since the 2006 season.”

He will be riding Gary Tonglet’s one-of-a-kind prototype design. “It has an aluminum frame,” GT continued, “and we are very pleased with the outcome.”

GT won two races and was second in the 2005 championship series. Overall, he has four top-10 finishes and three victories in nine finals.

LE welcomes his brother’s return.

“We are going to have twice the data now,” he commented. “He tried to qualify at the last race at Houston, but we found out there were some wiring problems, and that’s why he didn’t qualify.

“He’s all pumped up now . . . he is loving it.”
