This is not the first time one of the Grays has appeared to be a jerk. One of them was giving another team a bunch of crap at the top end because they switched to Elite power. I don't dislike the Grays at all but I guess these rivalries are good? Funny, Tanner must have been amped up, HE RED LIT against Jeg!

I think quite a few racers have been going to and from Elite/gray engines, and then there's the Erica/Connolly issue from a few years back

The Elite and Gray teams have been going at it for a while now. With Alex Laughlin going Gray to Elite, it probably just reignited the flame. Nothing to see here.

There has been a simmering feud there since Skillman went from Elite to Gray after a few races last year. There have been rumors and innuendo of some scrapes in the pits since then between the 2 camps, but it finally came to a head today I guess. Tanner obviously runs Gray power, and Laughlin won a race last year with Gray power but is running Elite power this year. Tanner beat Alex and according to Alex at the top end, Tanner said "how did that work out for you?" referring to the power switch. I guess that pissed some people off. To me, it is just boys being boys.

While the Elite and Gray teams are running their mouths and getting into scrums in the pits, KB Racing holds down the top 3 spots in Pro Stock points and won the race today.

They interviewed Alex at the track live when it happened. He was pretty classy in his answer, just said "Oh, he's just turned 18 and still needs to work on his sportsmanship a bit". Apparently, things escalated in the pits.

Also, remember Shane having a top end skirmish with Roger Brogden a few years back about leasing Gray engines.

Violation of Section 1.3.1 in the NHRA Rule Book regarding participant conduct. They have levied many fines in the past for much less than the altercation in the pits by both teams.
Does NHRA ignore this because these are Big Buck teams. They sure didn't when they found 3 sealed bbls of illegal nitro in the Don Schumacher trailer and fined him $100,000.
Will be interesting to see if NHRA does anything.

I could be wrong because most of the time I am...but I think Schumacher is also a big buck team.
