Good Guys on speed TV

Hopefully they will be announcing how they plan to save their drag racing series.

Doesn't appear they are going to as Ewald says the March Meet will be put on by the Smokers (not very many left) and using VRA rules.

Dave, I guess I should just learn to trust you. I somehow remembered this post, so on Tues Morning I went thru the cable guide and was going to set the vcr. NO MENTION of the races. So I didn't set the VCR.

I was stuck late and work, one of the guys flips the TV to the Speed channel, and the end of the program was on.

Anybody have an idea if they are going to re-run the program?

GG's sold the rights to the March Meet to Bakersfield Raceway(Blake and John Bowser) as of today.

Hmmmmm
A WHOLE lot of Nostalgia cars will be looking for something to race in.
I really feel for the Top Fuel and Funny Car guys that have been building their deals up.

But I here they will ALL be at Bakersfield.
The touring series was pretty cool.
I enjoyed racing at Infineon, Pomona, Vegas AND Bakersfield and quite frankly, Bakersfield was the worst facility of the tour. The pits are in such bad shape now, I dont want to go back.

And the other 3 come with a very BIG price tag.:D

Yeah I bet.
Maybe Fontana might have something?????????????????
The track surface is VERY smooth and the starting line is definitely coming around.

Calif Speedway has a open date for anyone who would like to promote a race.

maybe some more of the Jr. Fuelers will come over to NHRA and run comp.

This is just something my cousin and I talked about, the following is not a RUMOR or anything, just our own personal thoughts. We think it'd be cool if the Auto Club would sponsor a 4 race series just like GG's did. The races taking place at all Auto Club sponsored tracks: Bakersfield, Pomona, Fontana and Bakersfield.

And let the NHRA crew who runs the CHRR be the sanctioning body/officials.

That'd be cool, huh?
