Thanks for putting those traffic updates back up! Not living there anymore it's a big help. The girls and I will be there Saturday and most likely Sunday...it all depends on how well they behave and if I have any money left after Saturday! :D

I am coming from Naperville. Last year, we went down 53 all the way. It was bumpy but wasn't bad time way. Will either be that or going up to 355 then 80.
Excited for the races and to see everyone.

Eric, Another possibility for you from Naperville would be to take Weber Rd. south. It becomes Larkin Ave. which you can take to either I 80 or RT. 6 to take the back way in to the track.

I was just on i 80 from i 55 and their was NO construction all the way to the race track exit was a clear cost this was 2 weeks ago.

The construction is at 80 and 55 and affects west bound 80.If your coming from the west on 80 there shoudn't be a problem. The time of day is also another factor in the backups.
I'm sitting here right now looking at 80 and it's running smoothly in both directions. An hour from now it will be different.

if you don't mind the toll roads you can take I-294 to I-88 to I-355 cause I-55 outbound from the city really sucks after about 2:00

and if there is traffic on I-80 you can get off at Briggs Rd, head south and then take a right on Laraway and take that to Chicago St/RT 53to get to the racetrack

Thanks Mike! It worked prefectly, never had to slow down below 45 except for the tolls (how much is a I Pass) and made it in 2:20 min from my doorstep!

Got to talk to JR Todd for quite awhile and the weather was perfect!

Worried about tommarrow and Sunday though :o
