Over the last six weeks, I have received two voicemails from the ticket office saying I could get tickets at reduced price. If I called, it would probably be some stupid discount like $5 off.

With the amount of competition for consumers’ entertainment dollars, there’s nothing wrong with some proactive marketing, IMO.

I actually had them call me up earlier this summer, in person, asking if I wanted to renew our Indy ticket package. We would have loved to, but family obligations forced us to forgo the race this year. We're seriously planning a return for 2018 though. The wife said it was the most fun she'd ever had at the races. She really enjoyed meeting you folks who were there last year.

Am gonna be in NorCal Saturday but gonna drive overnight to be at POMONA Sunday.
Woo Hoo!!! Looking forward to it!

This is Sports Marketing 101. Was listening to the ALCS on the way home yesterday and the local Yankee broadcast was already advertising 2018 season ticket packages and all the discounts that come with ordering early.

This should NOT be construed as an NHRA plea for spectators or help.

Nailed it. Kudos for a marketing department getting proactive. It's that old saying about it being cheaper to keep an existing customer...

Paul, are you going to the CHRR this weekend?

Smart. And the thing about that is, it's not like the Yankees will have a hard filling seats next year....or any other year.
