Glen Kerunsky Returns to His Roots

Priddis, AB. July 3, 2007 Western Canada’s Pro Mod standout Glen Kerunsky returned to his roots this past weekend in Mission, B.C. Canada at the West Coast Pro Mod’s “Fast and Furious on the Fraser” by Eaton. After taking the early part of the season off to regroup “ Team Kerunsky” returned to the Winner’s Circle with the Breckenridge Excavating 57 Chevy Bel Air. “No, we are not retired, we were just tired following the grind of the last season,” stated Kerunsky. We’ve used our off time to rest and upgrade while purchasing a new ERD Hemi engine and get our chassis reworked and upgraded by our good friend Tim McAmis at Tim McAmis Race Cars in Hawk Point, MO. Terry Vince and Carl Spiering from ERD have provided us with the optimum weapon to go out and assault the top ranks of Pro Mod and we will pick and chose our races for 2007 in preparation for a full points assault for 2008.

After qualifying # 1 with a 6.09 Kerunsky mowed down the competition with bracket racer like performance with 6.15 in round one followed by 6.15 in round two. The semi-finals saw team run a 6.143 before yet another 6.15 in the final. Kerunsky credits the new engine and chassis program for the consistency to dominate their way through the West Coast Pro Mod field. “We’re heading to Edmonton for the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals see if we can stir the “pot” a bit there,” stated Kerunsky. We know that many of the Pro Mod teams planning on attending will be very happy that we are coming. We will decide on our 2007 schedule after that race.
