George Marnell involved in TF (1 Viewer)

That was a way cool move by Mr. Marnell, this Urbacher guy seems like a lot of fun, a throwback to the way drag racing used to be before it got so corporate (actually what could be worse, it got corporate but at the same time not really that successful, it definitely wasn't worth the change).

Too bad we had to import him, we need more guys like this coming from the good old USA.

Neat to see the Marnell name back in the sport!

Paul, please explain to me how drag racing has "not really been successful"?

Hell, we'll just look at the NHRA series and leave IHRA on the table:

20+ event national series
Same Day national television coverage
Stratospheric performances in all classes
Packed Stands at each of those 20+ national events
Well appointed, professionally maintained facilities
Sponsor involvement from a pleathora of automotive and non-automotive companies

Last but not least:

The sport has maintained many of the basic fundamental principles that got it to where it is....unlike the taxi cab guys, whom I am assuming you are comparing drag racing to.
