I was just thinking the other day, when was the last "Wow!" Funny Car run. Great racing throughout the class has overshadowed the need and want, which I don't mind at all.

And Alan is right. Just off of the top of my head, Jose Gonzalez went 5.623 in Gainesville last season.

Yo Phil. How about resuming publishing the national records?

I think the PSM speed record is up to 205mph by Smith, I think it was in Sonoma last year.

Why aren’t National records listed in ND anymore?

It would be nice to list em maybe 3 times a year in Dragster, it used to be every issue.

Well ND is monthly now, so I don’t see why they couldn’t be in every issue. Setting a national record is a big deal, I like being able to look up the record holders, and knowing when a racer sets a new record.

Perhaps in one of the Top Alcohol classes but not in the Pros. Nitro FC is 3.79/339.87 (Hight, 2 different runs) in the laid-back headers era although Force went 3.82/338 with the headers stood up (I was there for that pass) that won't be beat and neither will TF's 3.62/338.

You under estimate the abilities of Drag Racers Hell bent on doing the impossible (actually Improbable). Never say never - Someone - Somewhere - Sometime - Somehow will prove that even though it has been said before records are never Finite, they are made to be broken.

I think TF is possible, Brittany Force went 3.63 at Dallas and 337.66 in St. Louis last year.

Just out of curiousity, what speed does a T/F car run at 330'? I know 299 has been run 660', so.... Around 240 MPH?
