Future of drag racing??? (1 Viewer)

I saw a few of those runs back in the day. Stupid fast - in fact, the first 300+ mph runs I ever saw, long before fuel cars could do it. Larry Nagel was a local guy I knew from a speed shop I frequented and the local drag strip. He built a scaled down Vega with a hydrogen peroxide rocket that was not much larger than a go-kart. Apparently someone has restored it.

It really doesn't matter what we think. All of us will soon "age out" of drag racing. What matters is what the few 22-year-olds sitting in the stands think.

And while all the gas, methanol and nitro fans and competitors alike are all scrambling looking for cellphone USB charger ports at the end of a long hot day ….. I bet everyone’s phone battery in Huff’s pit is always at 100%!
