Don't forget Dickie Venables... To me, he's the major difference between how well the 'Q' car has been vs. how well the Advance Auto Parts car has been.

All I am saying is if I were in that situation, whatever car I owned that had a chance to win the championship would win. Period. End of story. And as for sleeping at night, I wouldnt lose a wink, because I would know that I did everything in my power to win the championship. Which is what the goal at the beginning of the year is.

I'm not saying I would or wouldn't, but what would you tell the sponsor on the other car? That they're spending 2-3 million a year so the other car can win? Might make negotiations difficult at the end of the year if the contract is up!

And that would be a problem at JFR how? Think AAA knows this going in, the other three team cars all carry Castrol, with smaller AAA logo.

I think the sponsors understand if something like that happens. I am sure during negotiations beforehand that this is brought up. I know that Don races heads up but if he, Jim J, or anyone else in the know would share some light on this. I would think its atleast brought up when someone owns several teams and has a potential sponsor in talks. But to me, yes the sponsor's is paying $$$, but they are paying for advertising to be on the side of the car, not to be making decisions on raceday and I would think that they are told that and realize it.

I thought we were talking about multi car teams in general, but you're right, and that's the biggest differance between DSR and the JFR or Del's operations. CSK wins either way at Del's, at JFR Castrol and AAA still come out okay...
Also brings up the question is DSR a Multi-Car Team, or is it Multi-Teams, sharing Info, under one roof? And I don't think that's bad...
That being said, In the DSR operation dives would not be the best move, at JFR or Del's, I believe whatever it takes to win a championship for the team and don't lose sleep over it.

Who knows what goes on in those trailers between rounds? But I think Justin brings up a very good point in this thread.....it's probably discussed before the contracts are signed, because I think there's a very good chance that the multi-car teams will face each other with much needed points at stake, possibly a championship! Having said that, it's all purely speculation on my part. But hey, what good's a message board if you can't speculate about something you know nothing about?
