Just read Bob Frey's article on DRC. He mentions wearing a Mongoose jacket that McEwen (sp?) himself gave him years ago when he travels, and how people always ask him about it, and bring up the old Hot Wheels days. Bob mentions how amazing it is that people bring that up so many years after Mattel's involvement, and I couldn't help but wonder why they don't sponsor a team now? I saw the logo on Ashley Force's Darien ride when she moved up, and expected them to stay with her when she turned pro. Let's face it, we've got THE hottest wheels on the planet! Besides Hot Wheels, I see many other toy cars out there with drag racing influence, it is amazing that one of these companies isn't involved directly in the sport.
