Frank Manzo 5.437 @ 268mph.

you guys want to know what is really scary about frank's deal. He tuned a pro mod in qator to a 3.57/211 tot he 1/8 his two 5.43 passes were 3.59/213 and 3.60/211 to the 1/8

very little difference in the two cars. I believe the weight is close. the blower in the Pro mod is a C rotor (or better) PSI
But those runs in pro mod or with a suspended chassis.

One would have to ask frank what the difference is between the power plants and trans.

All that being said is how quick would frank be with a C rotor PSI

that reallllly is something. You might see a 5.29 then!

526 for adrl Same as NHRA
OD I think it is more in the ADRL as well.

Someone needs to ask Frank, how quick a TAFC would go with the ADRL rules.

Dean

years ago I told someone TAFC's were in trouble when the number one qualifier was faster than the bump in tafc!. . .that's been blown away!

A 25 Car PM field and a 15 Car TAFC field are Two different things! Want to guess what the TAFC bump would be with 25 cars? You would see a 5.75 bump I bet! The Record os 5.69, I have been to Gainesville 7 times and they had over 18 TAFC's only twice. Houston and Chicago you will see over 23 cars.

yea agree on houston and chicago but that's not the point. When talking about what point is being made it holds valid right now.

Here is the What??? broken down.

I agree with you on the fact that Houston and Chicago you will see at least 23 cars. As far as the point being made prior to your comment is a valid one as the field is really really soft as far as bump time, but to be able to have the entire pro mod field run faster than THIS WEEKEND'S TAFC BUMP, is impressive none the less

lots of runs for sure, but they do run a C rotor Nancy in the ADRL and that is a big difference. And they can spin the blower in the adrl to 128 (92 NHRA)
Engine size I see is unlimited but I would say that almost all teams run 526.
how you doin:D

We are all limited to 528 Cu In and 92 over, Frank runs a 526 at 92 over, the secret?

3800 successful laps down tracks..........

ADRL ProX is limited to a 5.3" bore spacing; that's it. I don't know the exact size of the engine in the ProX car Manzo tunes, but it's not limited to 528CID, nor are there any minimum weight requirements.

If you want to go by the 6.12 bump You could say that, but since #15 was a 5.80 the argument is kinda moot!

Doing well Dean, Thanks :-) Getting closer to Testing the Taxi Cab :-) I don't believe this thread was talking about the ADRL, they are talking about NHRA Alky Funnies, max 528 Cu In, D Blower 92 OD C's are not legal in NHRA, if they were, a .432 from Frank, would be SLOW...........I know that Woz runs a 527, and Gordon a 528, almost everyone else runs a 526 and lower, lots of 521's for sure..........

The Alky Dragster can Run 125 OD , D Blower, and they have a limit on C.I. But I don't follow those quite as closely.

Hi Nancy, :)

It's a Manzo thread to be sure, but the ADRL was indeed brought into play. Dean Murdoch sez:

"you guys want to know what is really scary about Frank's deal. He tuned a pro mod in qator to a 3.57/211 tot he 1/8 his two 5.43 passes were 3.59/213 and 3.60/211 to the 1/8"

The Qatar ProMod that Frank Manzo tunes is Matt Smith's, which runs ADRL ProX rules. He may very well run a 526; I would have no idea. But he can run an 826 if he likes, and he DOES use a far superior supercharger that's overdriven to beat hell. Add in 1/8 mile gearing and there's your 3.57....

Back to the main story line. Frank Manzo isn't God, but in drag racing circles, he ain't far from it. ;)

That's what I get for only skipping posts in threads, but from a by stander, I understood Dean's post to read the way I responded....... I will step away from the keyboard now..........LOL
