July 29, 2008 - Gainesville , FL - With twenty-three years and over fifteen thousand graduates, it's no wonder when drivers and team owners are looking for top notch training, they look to Frank Hawley's NHRA Drag Racing School.

Many things have changed and evolved in the drag racing world over the last two decades and the curriculum available at the school is no different.

School owner and instructor Frank Hawley briefly explains the journey the school has taken since its inception. "When we first started, I knew how to drive cars, didn't know why anyone else didn't. Basically said 'here's what you do, go.' I didn't know why people couldn't drive. I didn't understand anything about people."

Over the course of the next several years, Hawley became intrigued by not only all of the different facets that make a person an individual, but also those that everyone shares as a human being. No matter what age, race or sex.

"I started to take more of an interest in people and found them to be quite fascinating creatures. I started to study a little about physiology, psychology and some other medical stuff. As I learned more, I would bring these things back into the classroom to see if I could not just educate these folks but help them do a little bit better job when they left the school."

Frank adds, "So, yes, I think the classes have changed a lot since we first started and we're not stopping yet."

Some of the many changes that Hawley is referring to for the school are not related to what takes place during the classes, but where they take place. Over the last few years, many new "remote" class locations have been added for the school's most popular program, the Super Classes. Students taking part in this class can work toward obtaining their Super Comp or Super Gas license, sometimes even leaving the two-day class with both.

In just 2008 alone, the school's remote classes have enjoyed locations such as Houston Raceway Park and a brand new stop at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk , Ohio . Classes are taking place this week to Bandimere Speedway, next month at Virginia Motorsports Park and soon at the most recently added venue "The Strip" at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, slated for September.

"Our remote class locations are all fantastic to work with. Just earlier this month was the school's first trip to Summit Motorsports Park . The Bader's proved why they have the outstanding reputation they do and then some. During our week at Norwalk , we worked with twenty-six students driving the cars, making a combined total of over 150 passes and we turned out a bunch of new licensed drivers," Hawley said. "The entire staff was just excellent. They took care of all of our needs, gave us a great race track, plus they made our staff and, more importantly our students and guests, feel like we were right at home. It is things like that, attention right down to the little details that is attributed to Bill Bader, Jr. and his philosophy on customer service. It shows in absolutely everything they do."

The Norwalk remote location is not the only new stop for 2008; students have already started booking classes for the newly announced September dates at "The Strip" in Las Vegas , NV .

With just three weeks remaining before the Denver Super Classes at Bandimere were to take place, they sold out and a waiting list was started for those hoping to attend. "We had already wanted to add another western location, but when Denver was getting close to being sold out, we knew we needed to move on the idea," explains Paul Shields, program representative for Frank Hawley's School. "Our Las Vegas remote classes were added a little later than we would have liked, but it just took us a little time to get the dates coordinated. We're hoping with the super turnout planned for our Denver dates, that some of those folks, who were unable to make it in at Bandimere, can come and join us in Vegas."

"The students have really responded to our remote locations. We understand the time and money that it takes to travel and some are just not able to make it to our home facility in Gainesville , where we continue to hold all of our offerings year-round. So, that's why we will continue to look for new ways to make it easier on the students who need to stay a little closer to home. We will bring the school closer to them. For those attending any of our Super Classes, they can expect the same exact curriculum, wherever we are. Whether here in Florida , Virginia , Ohio , Texas , Colorado or now even Las Vegas ," Hawley added.

" Las Vegas will be an all-around very unique experience for our students who attend. The track is one of the nicest on the NHRA tour. It provides great traction and it's just a beautiful facility. Plus, who wouldn't want to combine driving a race car with all that Las Vegas has to offer?" Frank smiled.
