That was great! :D When I was a young kid I didn't really like a lot of the music my dad listened to but now I find I'm liking and listening to a lot more of it. He listened to a lot of country music but it was more for the guitar players he liked; Roy Clark, Carl Perkins, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Danny Gatton, etc. I guess the old saying is true, the older you get the smarter your parents are. :p

Brent, try picking up something by Tommy Emmanuel, if you haven't already. If you're digging listening to some of the stuff you listed, Tommy ought to be right up your alley. I think my fave is from 1994, a CD titled "The Journey". It appears to be when he was transitioning from his Telecaster trip (kinda like Gatton) into where he is today (all acoustic). His live shows are absolutely amazing as well.

Wow that's really cool; even the 1st part alone. I'm a big fan of that right hand multi-picking.... particularly when adapted to use in rock/metal. Zakk Wylde has always done that and it is wicked. He did a solo project called "Farm Fiddlin" several years ago... if you like this video, I recommend you try to find it. It's quite different than his usual sound.
