Maybe that's why he's had Castrol for so long? Even when he DNQ's, he still sticks around. He doesn't pack up his stuff and jump in a rental car and head for the airport. Yeah, I know that he's got his other cars racing, but he's just as approachable when he DNQ's as when he wins.

Some speculate that Force/Coil are sandbagging so that that will justify going back to the two rail chassis design. JFR has spent way more $$$$ this season w/ the three rail chassis as those tanks are heavy and are costing him more cash to run em....Not my take...just some opinions I have heard floating around an old ex-Force chassis maker...Stay tuned!

I really expected Coil and Bernie to fly when they got to Zmax as Coil loved the motor Plex when it was new and smooth.
They could throw the power and clutch to it.

Maybe that rumors are true about the 3 rail chassis.

I sure alot of the IHRA guys still love their two rail!!

Everyone is running two rails, with the mods, and are doing very well.

Force' old chassis builder told John what could be done to make it work but McKinney balked....

Doesn't Force seem just a bit (or a lot) too self-important in this interview? Apologizing to the NHRA fans and the city of Charlotte because he did not qualify? Well, there were 16 better cars/drivers that DID qualify - the Sunday show was not diminished because he was not a part of it.

Wow, your grapes sure are sour.

He said he did not earn the right to run with the best.

What else do you want?

Oh come on Brad. ;) The entire Funny Car class would be run during the sportsmen classes if it weren't for John Force.

In reality, I couldn't agree with you MORE!!

Out of uncommon decency the guy (John Force) offers an apology to fans for not living up to their expectations and all you can comment on is ego? It has nothing to do with ego and everything to do with being a real sportsman and finding yet another way to connect with the public. Personally, I think there is too little public courtesy from most people and and way too much criticism. I applaud Mr. Force for stepping up in this way. It's called taking responsibility.
