Force Annoucement Today

By 2015, he will be just fine, although I don't think anything will be announced until mid-2014.
NHRA wanted him to hold off the announcement til the off-season, which is somewhat selfish on their part. John is already on the campaign trail delivering his value proposition, which he needs to in order to secure the kind of deal needed to cover the shortfall of losing Castrol and Ford.
Have heard that the Castrol deal was worth 10m per year to that team (not sure about Ford), but that sure is a big chunk of change to find as a recurring deal.
This situation also puts a spotlight on NHRA too. How good is the ROI of the sport in general at the Pro level?
Yep, I'm a Force fan, but I can't help but look at people like Densham and see what can be achieved with a small budget. Would Force race on a small budget for the fun of racing?

It was announced the we will not hear anything until end of 2014 season out of respect for Castrol and Ford. Although, with a deal of this size it will be very hard to keep quiet and once sold I would think the new sponsor may not want to wait. Contracts are "bought out" all the time.

Every corporation worth chasing is in NASCAR already. For what they spend to be on a quarter panel over there, someone could get a tremendous deal at JFR, and many other teams for that matter. My prediction is that's where John will find new partners, and I wouldn't doubt if that happens, others will follow.

True, After the past week NASCRAP may have a few sponsors shopping.

IMO no, and after watching that press conference i'd say john has realized that his brand may only be worth so
much just racing, but (daughters) is capable of achieving so much more outside of nhra.
whatever he and his family achieves is deservedly theirs....and the same goes for many of the driven and ambitious
owners you see at every race, especially and including the sportsmen racers.
