Poor Larry Dixon, he's such a nice guy too.

I spoke with him for a while at the last Columbus event, I asked if he would ever run TF again. His answer was he was burned out, too many hours involved and he was looking to stay home more and concentrate on other things. To me it seemed as if the fun was gone

Larry has been spending time at the track with his son Luke. He still loves the sport, and is passing that love along, just like his dad did to him.

Larry might be there with his Dad's "Fireside Inn" dragster. He has brought it to various Nitro Revivals in the past.

That was a great interview you and Nicole did with Larry. Was always a fan of his when he was a Nhra star. Didn't he say he would continue to run the 2 seater TF car? I found his reasons interesting and tells you just what kind of person he is.

Larry was at Bakersfield for the reunion and said the car sold in 3 days..

Does anyone know who bought it?

Rick, I asked Larry and his response was a guy who wanted to race.

It wasn’t me

OK I'm coming out. Yes, it was me that bought it, but only because I had a guy come to me to drive it.
Haven't meet him yet he's from the Cincinnati, Ohio area. He said he good to go on the rent a ride, claims he has a budget of $10 Million per year.
See everyone when the check cashes.

While your waiting there are plenty of pawnshops in Vegas, you can buy a used firesuit and helmet and dress up as a TF driver for Halloween. No will even recognize you.
