Santos,,,, I think I was 13-14, was such a movie-like day all the way to the winner's circle for Santos at sears point! Big ass screw blower on a small block, ridiculous!

I'll always root for Cowie. Like I said earlier, the story is just too good.......

Bernie Shacker ran a back motor T/F in 1970. So did he run a blown alky car later? Kinda streamlined in the front? Was looking for a photo of that car, cuz I remember it, but all I found was above link. Interesting to me that Garlits saw this car & actually sat in it. Must have set the wheels in motion for his version of the back motor.
