(Ipswich, QLD) The Auto One Top Fuel Drag Racing team today announced their championship winning Top Fuel Dragster will be on display in Ipswich for the general public ahead of the Winternationals at Willowbank in June.Phil Read and the rest of the Jim Read Racing team will take time out of their preparations for the final round of the ANDRA 06 - 07 Top Fuel Championship to appear at th e Auto One Ipswich store between 1pm - 5pm on Wednesday 6th June.
Phil Read's championship winning 'Black Mamba' Auto One Top Fuel Car and the team's transporter will be on display for visitors to get up-close and explore. Phil Read will be available for photographs and autograph signings, as well as the Auto One Ipswich store putting on a free BBQ, plenty of giveaways and offering 20% everything storewide!
"The team is fairly relaxed at the moment and it will be good for us to take some time out to give the public a chance to see the car up close and also visit the guys at Auto One before the round" Phil Read stated.
"We are hoping for some good track conditions over the weekend at Willowbank. We would really like to show the crowd what the Black Mamba is truly capable of and take the win to cap off what has been a great year for the team."
