Espn3...

careful, that might come across as being mean :) the board cheerleaders will konk you over the head with their pom-poms....

what I liked was the three rounds of nitro bikes they slipped in....nothing like a nitro unicycle run to liven things up. Careful NHRA, you might let it slip that there's more classes that run nitro like, oh, the Nostalgia folks?....what's next? an accidental Fuel Altered run? (oh please oh please oh please)

I did make note that they sometimes let the cameras roll when the schedule is delayed, and sometimes they don't....personally, it's kind of cool when it's just the runs and the track announcers in the background, sort of like the real track experience...

I did notice they rent their cameras, most likely the highspeed cams....and also, Mike Dunn's site says his contract is good through 2012....

Personally, I would LOVE to see him in a car again, but would also miss him immensely in the booth. Page skimmed right over the Montana Express tribute but Mike filled the viewers in on the importance of John Mitchell....good call Mr Dunn, and good job CAPCO Contractors for greenlighting the tribute car

Are the cars even named anymore? Most used to be named "special" or "express" on the end.....Gunite Express anyone? TR3 Resin Glaze Special?

I enjoyed the nitro bikes too, to me they are better on TV than they are in person. I guess my eyes just aren't good enough. It was amazing to watch a later guy in the near side lane essentially looking down at his right foot at about 450 ft ... presumably steering the bike with his body and head getting controlled by the wind.

The camera and the PA announcer are fine by me during the non pro's (and unfortunately generally the first rd of PS). I wish they would pipe it in, rather than just having it be in the background.

Bummed at not being there this year.

you know that's why i think the broadcast suffers alot, for 3 hours you should be covering everybody. this would help ratings. We get board of the same ol same FORCE vs. anyone is a marquee matchup.....stop it.

not sure if it happens everytime, or just happened to be the times I watched, but if you wait until the race is posted on ESPN3 to watch, they fold-in the sportsmen (Lucas oil series) which is totally cool....a little continuity....the pros round 1 then the sportsmen round 1, then on to round 2.....I have liked it when I have to go back to espn3 to watch the race....plus, Rieff and Frey make a good show....Frey has always cracked me up....

You know what Chris? That WAS mean!!! :D Actually I just thought I would post a reminder, I myself wasn't sure if ESPN3 is a lock for every event, if so that's great. The coverage is awesome and it's cool to hear the guys just busting balls...oops is that ok to say?

I was also just informing it's always usually on haha. I like how laid back it is compared to the broadcast.
