ESPN times

Agreed , not to mention live broadcast of the lower sportsman classes (SS, Stock, etc. ) quarters, semis and finals. That was great stuff...gone this year? That really does suck.

It would be nice if they did a web cam feed like BangShift does at Vegas. Just hook up the audio to the announcers feed (mute it when Mike English is speaking though) and run a camera behind the starting line. :D

Saw the BangShift guys at the Pro Winter Warmup (with my BangShift shirt on as promised to them) instead of in front of my screen for the first time. What a simple, cost effective way to do a livestream. And the audio often seems better than the switching from mike to mike location the way ESPN does it (although they trump them on the video and audio signal quality).

So, what they're saying is what they're saying no ESPN 3 Friday nights or Sunday live Elems. :( FYI This happened once before a few years back and with enough complaining to ESPN it was back within a few races . Who 's email box can we flood to make this happen? Anybody have any connections or contacts ?

I know they didn't have the top guys in booth but motormainiatv.com did a great job broadcasting the Million Dollar Race. Maybe ESPN doesn't see the demand for it, hell I would watch it if Sprint would pick it up. Maybe it's cost and NHRA won't pay it.

I too would like to put something together like Bangshift does, I've talked to Brian many a times about it and asked him about how he and chad does it. I know it will cost a pretty penny to start just on getting the camera, a big time cpu and your own internet service to get it all right. and unlike Bangshift where it's Chad & Brian, I'm my own guy with much much less than what they have lol.

First, we are all rabid about the sport. But I come here and I see, right now, 11 members logged in. Lots of guests. 64 guests.
64 guests that wouldn't even spend a dollar to be able to post. What does that say?

Some of what that says is that it's possible that there are members that did spend their dollar but just haven't logged in. I for one only log in to post but visit daily to read. So those numbers don't reflect actual members. RG, PJ and some others post some good information and then there is Joe for entertainment. I'm thinking that there are a lot of you guys that weren't privy to watch NHRA on Wide World of Sports 4 months after the race happened. And we only had 4 per year. 9 more days of silly season, thank goodness.

I remember when weeks after you'd see it on ESPN or on NBC Sportsworld, I'm guessing you're going back to the 70s and beyond on that one.

Maybe we can help them?

sent a note and within 5 minutes had an automatic reply that it was processing. 5 minutes later, Amanda sent a note. Great RT. Hope for a full pull. lol

I just registered my request with ESPN. Kept it professional under the guise of draw more flies with honey than vinegar. I really hope they bring it back, I don't get to go to many national events so I count on it for race day.

ESPN never fails but to always let me down, its always something, late times, now espn3.

This is why you need to speak up. ESPN3 is great, it's pretty much always on time, and you never have to worry about their scheduling something else. The only delays ESPN3 has is the dealys caused by oil downs and weather, just like if you were at the track. I think if enough people speak up with reasonable requests, they'll seriously consider it. It's not as if they don't have the equipment there to do a live show.

David Rieff @DaveRieff

Many have asked about Friday @NHRA qualifying on @ESPN3 - at this time there are no plans for that to continue.

Sent mine in,BTW ESPN you suck, you took a good thing and flushed it right down the toilet.
