Screw the points thing, Peej... you missed a pretty goood ol' day of drag racing all around. That's too bad man- you seem like the kind of fan that likes the sport. Today could have been about the points thing, but I saw it as a bunch of really talented teams going out for the last blast of the year, and not one of them disappointed...

Exactly, sucks for him, he missed a good show.

Sorry, but glad to hear it wasn't just me. Lost my coverage at 2:21 of the show. Comcast, ESPN, I don't know who it was, but it's very frustrating. It was shaping up to be a great race. Did manage to catch the finals in FC and TF because it came back on at that time. Is there a rebroadcast?

11/18/2009 Repeat Eliminations

11/22/2009 Sportsman
11:00:00 PM-12:00:00 AM (ET) ESPN2

TBS had the same thing happen the first round of baseball playoffs....lost the channel for 45 minutes...sh8t happens but they always pass the blame onto someone else....

My rant is directed to the muthereffers that allot time to the programs preceeding ours. I set my recorder to the appropriate scheduled times, but I ended up with college football and women's basketball. It cut-off the end of qualifying, the semis and the finals.
These fvckers KNOW 2 hours is not enough time for their sh!t. Why not just give them more time and start the drags a little later? This way I don't have to jump thru hoops to watch the drags on tv.

I'm pissed at whover at NHRA stands for this crap. This person needs to kick some ESPN ass.

I missed raceday today too! It was some nascrap bull****. WTF

Man im with ya. They never give enough times for those games, just make them 2.5-3.0 hrs and start on time period.

ESPN didn't have an issue with the broadcast. Any issues you experienced would have been your local provider. Sh!t..I'm in Iowa and had no problem.
Yes they did. My picture was frozen with a pixelated shot of Force for over 40 minutes. People in different parts of the country also had the very same issue. The standard definition feed from ESPN 2 was screwed up.
Not ESPN's fault.
Yes it was. According to NHRA's Facebook page people in Charlotsville, VA, Philly, North Carolina and Illinois also had the same problem as I did.

My standard definition feed was fine, Brent. I didn't experience any hiccups at all. Other than the 10 min delay in starting..

Brent based on your info. I stand corrected.

I didn't have any problems in SC.

When recording it's best to record 3 hours past the estimated end time, seriously.

I ALWAYS check the schedule. If there's any sort of live event, I don't use automated settings. I set my recording manually, and enter in an extra hour.

Always.

Never been disappointed yet.

I used to do one, but missed the ending once or twice so I bumped it up to two.

Somehow I cant imagine that the Tenn-Baylor womens basketball game is of more interest to more viewers--althought the Baylor coach is a cutie. Always fun to wait through fifty time outs during the last minute of a bball game.
