Jim YEEEEEARS AGO (lol) this sight started as a fan site for Scotty Cannon. He always called his fire red car his Nitro 'Mater....redneck/hillbilly/southern for tomato. I can call him that cuz I am one! :)

Okay, thanks. I thought it had something to do with "mating", but I didn't want to go there.
 
Except for the literal translation, I don't even know what a mater is.
