The CRUD is alive & well. Seems to be all over USA. In the last 3 months, my wife & I have had it 3X. Go to Doc, get Prednisone & strong antibiotic, and all is well.... for a few weeks. I have never seen it this bad in our area. We all get something every year, but not like this.

It is a miracle to me the drivers aren't sick all the time. Think about all the hands they shake and autographs and pictures these folks go thru in just one weekend. You come into contact with that many people, you are gonna catch something.

Ditto here, Cliff. My youngest daughter is going back to school today after being out 10 days. It's made its way through our house in some way, shape or form twice, with a couple of the instances being pretty rough. I've been on the downhill side of it for better than a month. Hell, we even had one of the elementary schools in town close for over a week due to almost 60% of the students being out, as well as almost 40% of the faculty. Like you said, we all get something every year, but not like this. It's been unreal. I can't speak for your area, but the banter around here (which I could buy into to some degree...…) is that we've had such a mild winter and it's the lack of a good hard freeze to kill everything off that's contributed to it. I'm not a doctor, so I couldn't say one way or the other but......

It's funny you mention that........

This was the first year in many years that I got one, and the first in many years I got sick. Lol! And I know that's neither here nor there, but with my sister being an RN and brother in-law being an ER doctor, it drives them crazy when I point that out. Lol

With grandchildren sick all the time because of school I feel pretty lucky.

I get the flu shot every year for the pass 10 years and 2 years ago I caught it bad. While sitting in the urgent care with about 50 people I asked the doctor how could I catch the flu when I had a shot. He replied everyone in here have the flu and most of the had the flu shot. It was a different strand of virus that year.

Everyone has different reactions to flu shots; same for any kind of med you can think of, even over the counter stuff. When I first became a pharmacy tech, that was one thing I learned. We had to get flu shots when I worked at county hospital. I always did OK with that, got the "older people" shot. Heh Was also thinking, I work now at Sky harbor airport, one of the busiest in the nation. Come into contact with a billion people (more or less). Lot of airport employees get the CRUD. Arghhh

The past 14days have been hell in my familey. 1st Middle grandson got the stomach bug. It's seems to be 6-8 hr. of hell with another 6-8 hrs. of recovery. Everyone else survived. 10 days later the littlest Grandson gets it. 2 days later it's my turn, 3 hrs later oldest grandson gets it. 2 days later my wife gets it. 1 day later Son in law gets it. 2 days later my daughter gets it. We've all been good since Thursday. LOL Many school districts in Ohio have been closing due to illness.
