Epping, NH this weekend

Is anyone here going to the Division 1 points meet this weekend? I was there for a bit last Sunday and the newly resurfaced portion of the track looked great. Going to be a scorcher tomorrow, but Sunday looks real nice. Tom K., are you still going?

Plans changed on me. I won't be going to Epping this weekend.

Sorry you couldn't make it, Tom. I got there Saturday about 5pm, which was just in time for Top Alcohol rd. 1. Lots of great Top Sportsman racing and tons of really good looking cars. The stands were near capacity most of the night; seems like a really good market for NHRA to be re-entering. Wish I could've gone back for Sunday.

If they bring a national event to Epping, there is going to be a problem with accommodations. Nearest city with hopefully enough hotels is Manchester, or Portsmouth, each about 20 miles away...

That's a good point, I tried to stay in Portsmouth last year for the IHRA nat's and there wasn't a room anywhere. Ended up driving the 1hr45min home in between. A couple moderately-priced chain hotels near the track would probably do real well most of the year.
