The USGS measured Top Fuel cars several years ago at Denver. I don't remember the exact numbers but if I'm not mistaken it was between 2.0 - 3.0 on the Richter Scale. They talked about the results during the ESPN broadcast so I'm sure a google search would give you the exact numbers from that event.
Been here since Thusday and never felt a thing. Being a So Cal resident I can tell you anything under a 3.0 isn't felt by many. A little more than a week ago we had a 3.5 at 3:00 AM near Newport Beach which is about 20 miles from us and it woke up the house.
We had a 2 pointer in NC last week. Something is shaking, whether its a big one or not. It's not very often you have quakes in Texas and the Carolinas no matter how small they might be.
We have been having them for a couple years around the Metroplex !
Some thinking the fracking is the cause .
I'm sure the USGS knows ! After all take the records from the drilling companies and camparo Wah !
They had eight in a few days last week out west of here near Snyder !
One was a 4.5 !
I believe we are due for a polar shift anytime in the next few thousand years ! A veritable momentary figure !
