The two people I can think of that "bring youthful exuberance to the equation" are Matt Hagan and James Day, with Day having the advantage being Don Schumacher's son-in-law. What does anyone else think?

Matt Hagan was my first thought, but now that you mention James Day, that makes more sense.

Heard "the Don" made a call to Matt's father and made him an offer late summer...maybe they took him up on it?

Paul

What about Leah Pruett? She's been spending so much time licensing I would think that would work its way out.

Now that you mention her Erica, Lea did make some runs in Scelzi's car last year, before it was announced that he would not be taking the leave announced earlier that season.

She's also Steve Plueger's current driver. A good ride.

She only drove the Plueger & Gyger Mustang for one race; Mike Grekul is still the driver.

Hagan... all that was talked about him at the last IHRA race was this deal.... no real secret..

Congrats to Matt and the entire DSR team. Is this team the same team as the Oakley/Mopar team from this year or is it the Rockstar team?

Congrats to Matt, that should be a great team, and he will be a great addition to the already tough FC class.

After reading Matt's bio I'll have to say, "I like this kid already."

1. Lives in Virginia. (Go Hoo's). Although I get the feeling he's a Hokie
2. Fellow cattleman.

Good Luck!

Okay, let me get this straight, Scelzi retired (he'll be back) and Toliver lost his sponsor. So the DSR flopper line up will be Capps, Beckman and Hagan? What about the Oakley car vacated by Scelzi? Is it no longer in the picuture? Pardon the questions, but Schumacher racing is hard to follow.

Lee - Mopar announced an 85% budget reduction. What little is left is all going to Pro Stock. Jim Jannard no longer owns Oakley and I can only assume that the contract has expired.
So . . . you are correct. Rumored elsewhere that Valvoline will drop all sportsman sponsorships and only support Jack, hopefully, MTS will continue to help. DSR is not the only team whose sponsor puzzle is hard to follow!

Thanks Jim. That clears things up.....for tonight anyways.
