Do nitro teams do displays at oval races and fire the engine? (3 Viewers)

To market drag racing, do nitro teams ever attend oval races or other types of motorsports and fire the engine to give the crowd a taste of something they might never have seen before?

I could even see this being a neat pre-game thing to do at a baseball game. Go to a Savannah Bananas game, start it before the game and do a whomp or 2 for example.

We done a couple displays at the NASCAR event at Chicagoland Speedway. Started the car one time as well.

I know Tony Shoe did a burnout at the World 600 back in the Army sponsorship days.

My first thought would be why would NASCAR or Indy Car let you promote another major racing entertainment competitor. If you are doing it at a facility that also hosts a NHRA race, then maybe it can work from a track owners perspective.

When I helped with the Chicagoland display, it was about 50/50 of those who followed drag racing and those who had no clue.

Years ago, Cory Mac started his dragster inside the Bristol track before a Nascar race when he was sponsored by the Carrier Boyz.......
It was really loud. 🤣

Chicagoland was cool, found out around 8 am {WJOL Racers Forum show), jumped in the car and got to hear Nitro burning on a nice Saturday morning!
Little concerning that NASCAR fans walked right by a running Top Fueler without even a glance, though
