Schumacher was fined $100,000 in a questionable incident for bringing an illegal drum of fuel into the pits and Force gets fined $10,000 for pushing an NHRA official. I guess they do not value their employees.

At this point it's rather important to understand that:
Force Haters can't leave it alone!
All Four of his cars are in!
Cruz is out because he didn't get enough points!

and
The debate was over when the points were tallied!
Please give it a rest. Or, start another dozen threads whining about Force?

Just for your information I do not "hate" Force and have been involved in every aspect of drag racing since 1952 and would put my reputation against anybodies. This is just a question on fairness, not favoritism's

The only way to compare this is to look at what the last fine was for putting your hands on a worker to compare to Force, and then look at the last time someone did what Shoemacher did. I can't think of any examples.

If you are going to compare fines and punishment that have nothing to do with one another, why didn't Force and Shoe both get tossed out for a year like Guidera did????

I just posted at the same time on the other blog the same question. What would have happened to Schumacher if he would of pushed and offical and had the illegal Nitro? He probably would have been banned for life because I don't think NHRA likes him and they love Force. Bobby I am not a Force hater (I like all his teams) but I think that NHRA and ESPN are just trying to add too much drama to drag racing. Just race for Gods sake and stop the BS. Just my 2 cents.

The difference between the 2 fines is that Shumacher brought in an ILLEGAL drum to an NHRA track! It was known before they entered the gates, so they knew they were breaking a rule.
Force on the other hand was in the middle of a heated argument when the official tried to get between Force and Pedregon. The official is partly to blame for physically placing himself in the middle of the heated argument...has anyone here ever tried to break up 2 big dogs from fighting? You more than likely get bit doing so.
Too bad there wasnt a waterhose nearby to "hose em down" as my grandma did our dogs when they got to fighting...:D:p

And yet another thread addressing this issue. Wow

Trying to get to someone who just called you a cheater..and it happens to be a NHRA official? The way I saw it..the official had his arms..John is trying to get away from the grip. I saw no outlandish pushing for cryin out loud. He didn't hit anyone.

Can this get any more ridiculous?

If you want to compare Apples to Apples...

How much did Whit Bazemore get fined for his altercation with an NHRA employee?? I can't remember the amount off the top of my head.

What fine or punishment did Connie Kalitta get when he had his run in with an official of NHRA ?
And didn't Ed McCulloch have a problem too years back ?

A lesson has been learned. Next time an NHRA official comes into the Shu's pit and asked about nitro, Shu should just kick his a.. Then pay the smaller fine.:p

You may want to read a little history of the sport of Drag racing.

Pathetic post when put into context.

Good point. Nice to see your post. Hope all is well with you.

What is done with the fine money? I am serious, so please at least one reply that is valid. I know there will be a lot of funny and sarcastic replies to this question.,
Kind of like paying double the fine for a speeding ticket to keep it off your record. (I have not done this myself, my kids have. I refuse. I will take the gamble that the insurance company doesn't find out). What a racket that is!! They collect tons of money around here doing that and I wonder where it goes as the economy has caused our city to cut back on police cruisers, patrol officers, etc. Are ya kidding me? They make a ton off of this deal they have going.
So, does anyone know what is done with this fine money? DRAW would be a good landing spot IMO.

To Lori-

It will go into the NHRA "kitty".

Good question. But you aint gonna like the answer.

I agree that it should go somewhere that advances the sport - but, it won't...

Investing in the NHRA is like investing in your toilet, you get to keep the money that won't fit down it after you've thrown so much in that it backs it up...
