D'Aprile Brings Confidence and Mission to Canadian Nationals

Toronto, ON - You can't call him rookie any more. While it still may be his rookie season, Tommy D'Aprile, driver of the Evan Knoll sponsored "Support Our Troops", LeeBoy Equipment Corvette, has earned his way up the ladder of the Torco CompetitionPlus.com Pro Modified class. D'Aprile is currently 87 points behind the leader going into this weekend's IHRA Canadian Nationals, just outside of Toronto.

"A lot of teams go into a race and hope to go rounds," said D'Aprile. "I go into a race expecting to win it. I've got a lot of confidence in Quain and Brandon and my guys and how they sets up this car. Our goal is to go in there and not beat ourselves. We want to make someone beat us. If we go out there and run a fifteen (6.15 ET) and someone else pulls along side us and runs an eight (6.08 ET), then God bless them, they just beat us that round. But, when we're on our game no one is going to beat us."

Quain Stott, team owner isn't leaving anything to chance in the championship hunt for both of his teams. Stott took both the LeeBoy and "Support Our Troops" cars to Rockingham this past week for more testing. "We tried a few different set ups in Rockingham," said Stott. "We're going to try a few different things in Toronto and see what happens. It looks like we found a little extra in the first 300 feet, hopefully it will make the difference down the stretch."

D'Aprile is also dedicating the rest of the season to a long time employee of the family business, Access Mobility, Steve Larsen. "Steve has been with our company for a long time," said D'Aprile. "In fact, his hard work and dedication has been instrumental in growing our business over the years. His dedication has always been amazing. Right now he's in the hospital and were not sure how it's going to turn out. Things are pretty rough for him, our thoughts and prayers are with him."
