Dan Parker Joins 3 Second Nitrous Club

Salem, AL-- Its been a long road for the 2005 ADRL Pro Nitrous Champion Dan Parker and his team owner Bill George. After a successful run in 2005, the team had a tough year, struggling to defend their title in the American Drag Racing League's Pro Nitrous category and put the Fulton powered 762 inch nitrous powerplant back on track.
With much hard work, the team had been making steady performance improvements in 2007, running a new best of 4.04 and a runner-up finish during an Orangeburg Quick 8 to cap off their season.

"At the end of last year, we took a different approach to our program, and decided to concentrate on maximizing the horsepower that we already have. Our main focus has been improving the half track performance." Dan says.

The offseason brought about more improvements, and Dan and Bill headed back out to South Georgia Motorsports Park for testing. The result? Their first ticket into the 3 second zone. Dan improved upon an earlier best test run of 4.01 running a .984 60 ft, 2.650 330', and a new personal best of 3.996 @ 183.70.

Dan continues, "After the 4.01, we knew we just needed 16 thousandths to break the barrier, so we came back and studied the graphs hard to find every thousandth that we could find."

Their studies paid off. The 63 Corvette picked up 4 thousandths to the 60' beams and 9 thousandths to the 330', landing them their place in the elite 3 Second Nitrous Pro Mod Club.

"We definitely counldn't have done it without the hard work and hospitality of the whole South Georgia Motorsports Park crew." the team said.

With renewed spirit, the team plans to race in the newly established Southern Outlaw Series.
