Heading back to his "favorite track," Cruz Pedregon and team are looking to parlay the emotion of last week's win at Norwalk into another success at Bandimere Speedway where he's set numerous ET records and had multiple wins.
"I've said all season it would take five or six races for the rebuilding we've done to pay off, and here we are heading into the eighth race of the season as winners," Cruz says. "That seventh race win represents so many things coming together. I can't wait to get to Denver for the Dodge® SRT® Mile High Nationals with this great team and 'bring it' for our supportive fans and sponsors."
The team spent the time off between races replacing the front end of the chassis on the Snap-on Funny Car and are preparing for a "tuners race" as the cars need more oxygen in the higher elevation outside Denver.
Cruz says Crew Chief John Collins (JC) and the team are ready to compete, noting in a recent radio interview, "We have one of the cars people are going to have to deal with in the Snap-on® Dodge® Charger® SRT® Hellcat. We like what we have and we're riding it to the finish line." He says even as a seasoned driver he's been flexible in working with the team on some important changes and updates that have refocused his "winning mindset."
