Come on Joe this isn't your first rodeo you know where the majority of the fans always hang out...right behind all of the JFR haulers. Since our pit was right across the isle from them I had a birds eye view. The pits were packed all weekend.I know Rt. 66 is overbuilt, but today’s broadcast looked like a Ghosttown
Because you usually get to see a lot more cars go down the track and it's entire day of racing.I don't understand why people would want to come Saturday instead of Sunday.

When I was growing up I always liked going on Sat because of the same reason you stated.Randy’s point is solid and one I truly believe in. Getting to see everyone run twice is a blessing. For the casual fan this is a home run. Whether it real or not, some believe Saturday is a lighter traffic day and less crowded because it’s not Raceday. Another, in theory just a less stressful day for drivers equals more driver availability. Personally I would rather attend Raceday because side by side W’s and L’s mean something.

I don't know the attendance on Sunday but I was there and there were way more than 1500 people there.I think only 1500 people showed up. I worry they might drop this race from the schedule because of such light attendance. They are losing money.

He was kidding.I don't know the attendance on Sunday but I was there and there were way more than 1500 people there.
Correct, and remember, national events draw people for 3 days, so just because not every seat is filled at any given time doesn’t mean an event isn’t a money maker.Route 66 has seating for 30,000 people, it always looks lighter than other tracks.
Exactly.Saturday it's every car at least twice. The momentum runs out after 2:00 on Sunday when the fields dwindle.
