Carl Edwards is another NASCAR guy who has that "Awww Shucks"/nice guy next door persona on TV ... but he is a complete A$$. I have met/seen him several times in Vegas away from the track ... and none of the times was he pleasant to anyone.

Michael has been stuck with Mikey because of big brother Darrell Waltrip, as Darrell has called him that ever since he came up in racing and it has only gotten worse now that Darrell does TV. I have met Michael twice, and both times he seemed OK.

PS was anyone able to verify this rumor ... the all seeing eye (Google) comes up with nothing.

Sterno, or something close to it. A friend of mine was a mechanic/fabricator in Indy cars in the 70's said that was a common qualifing trick.
