How 'bout Texas losing? Wow...shocking that they lost in Texas (Houston). I sure hope they save a loss for my Tigers. Mizzou is playing better than they have in several years, but we're still not at the level of Texas and Oklahoma. But...in college basketball, anything can happen if you're hot and they're not! I'll cross my fingers, but I won't hold my breath!

Nahhh ... Michigan St is a good team, not too much of a shocker.

I might have to start paying attention to my hometown team UNLV ... they ROLLED Arizona yesterday.

I am now going to give my Gophers the kiss of death by mentioning them here again, since they impressively handled #9 ranked Louisville on Saturday to go to 10-0 now. AP rankings should be out any minute (maybe they already are) and they ought to crack the Top 25. Tubby's got the team's confidence level sky high right now and this team is playing some great ball. Still, it's only one victory over a top team so I'm not touting them as Final Four potential, but Tubby's got them going in the right direction.

My husband and I caught the very end of that game. We were so mad since Gonzaga couldn't close it out against Arizona. On the other hand, Jason (my husband) was very happy because he's a UNLV alum. We figure Arizona left it all out on the floor after the game against the Zags and couldn't get up for UNLV. But the Rebels should be a force to reckon with in the Mountain West. :) Thomas and Mack is a nice facility. I wish we had gotten to see a game there while hubby was in school.

Ooh the WCC tourney is gonna be there in March. :D

It is still hard to accept that Pitino is at Louisville. After next season, he will be at Louisville as long as he was at Kentucky. Amazing.

I was one of those UK fans that wasn't exactly sad to see Tubby go, even though I think he got a raw deal at UK. All Tubby did was win 23-25 games a year, but it's not enough if you can't get to the Final 4 every now and then at UK. I was in favor of replacing him, ONLY if we could get an upgrade, namely Billy Donovan or Mark Few. I didn't watch the game, but I am glad that Tubby is doing well at Minnesota. It is the perfect job for him, a fan base with NO expectations, and he is catching the Big 10 in a down cycle, so the Gophers should be able to make some noise. Nowhere to go but up for Tubby and the program.

It's nice that other programs can get fat off of our Big Blue table scraps. :D

LMAO Chris. Sending thanks from the frozen tundra. Since our Pro sports teams pretty much suck (MN Wild can't score, which I believe is a prerequisite to winning; the Vikings were exposed again last week, this time by the Falcons for what they truly are...an unimaginative bore and going nowhere fast; and don't even mention the T-wolves...who might endanger the NBA record of fewest wins in a season), looks like it'll be fun to watch the Gopher cagers.
