Cody Coughlin and KB Breakup (4 Viewers)

One could get that impression. From NHRA: "During eliminations of the 2025 DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals, Cody Coughlin displayed unsportsmanlike behavior and comments toward a competitor. While no fine or point deduction was issued, Mr. Coughlin received a formal warning for participant conduct. Any future incidents of this nature will result in disciplinary action."
Did anyone else see the video of him kicking off the door of his pro stock on the top end? It happened on NHRA.tv behind Courtney Enders doing an interview with Stanfield.

Maybe Cody got tired of the first round losses (last 2 races) when he was cutting good lights and the car wasn't 60 footing like the other KB rides. He's in 8th 22 points behind Erica that could be hard to swallow.

i find it hard to believe Greg Anderson and KB are purposely renting Couglin inferior equipment. Of course, of all the 'House Cars' at Kb, Coughlin is the only one that doesnt have a stake in the organizations ownership, and on the surface that is definitely bad optics. Matt Hartford has a non 'House Car' and he seems to run just as fast as the two KB flagship cars of GA & DG so . . .

So you come into the most competitive field in drag racing, rent equipment and expect to be competitive the first year ? He has the right last name, wrong attitude.
If I’m paying a million or so bucks, then I expect to get the best product for my money. If KB were not providing the best product then I wouldn’t want to be on their “team”.
I think his attitude isn’t the problem. And in this case his last name shouldn’t matter.

And does the million cover setup of the car, tuning, gearing or just all the pieces to be successful ? I doubt they are going to give you all the data for that price and if they do you need to figure out what to do with it.
Also was he part of the team or just renting the KB equipment?

As Alan would say not arguing, discussing.
