NHRA says they want to rebuild the CHRR, but unfortunately, their actions don't match their words. Scheduling on top of Dallas to avoid the In N Out show was just plain stupid unless they believe they can move CHRR to Pomona in the future, which will be another brilliant move.

NHRA will kill it one way another. if they move it to Pomona, it will kill Pomona with another race to upset the neighbors even more. I may upset some by saying, if they move it. then move the Nitro revival to Bakersfield with racing and all the cackle cars and Spectator's would return plus it would replace Irwindale that will close sooner or later. just my opinion.

Yes it is. with the CHRR dead now, The WPNN it will keep going down hill. I love Bakersfield and having the nitro revival at Bakersfield would bring back way more fans an racers. giving Bakersfield a shot in the arm. and a future race in November.

Sort of, but as long as it is held at Irwindale, any racing there will never be anywhere near as good as at Bakersfield. Irwindale is not a "real" dragstrip. It is just 1/8th mile, with a one-lane (!) shut off area. And if I recall correctly, there are no "Eliminator" classes, and thus no winners. Just people making passes for fun. It's a much smaller scale than the CHRR and the March Meet.

The Nitro Revival fits well at Irwindale. Irwindale does fine with exhibition runs and club racing classes like A/FX, Gassers and some others. Anything larger would be cost prohibited for Steve and Cindy.
The combination of the on track racing and the offtrack activities made the reunion. The revival was born out of the reunion. Separating the two seemed to make many happy. Everyone can attend one or the other or both.
